New Young Pony Club: Live
2007-05-28 11:05:32
New Young Pony Club had a tough act to follow after Kate Nash’s note-perfect set, but the most eagerly-anticipated band of the night didn’t fail to live up to the high expectations that had been heaped upon them. Frontwoman Tahita Bulmer could ruthlessly wipe out the entire cultural phenomenon of shoegazing with just one careless flick of her hair which, by the way, is worn in a right-side ponytail tonight. This girl is fierce, and doesn't she know it.She manages to successfully dodge the cavalcade of glowsticks that were still being hurled at the stage (were Myspace handing them out to every gig-goer that went in to the hall?!), but the rest of her band members aren’t so lucky. To see a crowd shot, click here. An enraged Andy Spence finishes the set by hurling all of the glowsticks on stage back at the crowd, which only means they have more fuel for the next band; the fool!
